The problem with these Shield drops (other than the fact that they are Shield watches) is that a certain number of our members insist on buying them,—which in turn, encourages MD to offer them again, where upon the the process repeats yet again.
Is this MD’s fault? I don’t think so, they’re just trying to pay the rent and make a few bucks on the side. No my friends, I’m afraid this is an example of the dreaded Smokey The Bear Continuum!
”Only YOU can prevent Shield drops!”
This is a replica of my other Dive watch. Check out Aquadive Bathyscaphe (Google). That piece is the real classic cushion design, oozing quality from strap to crystal. I love that piece of tank! Mine is DLC version, extremely scratch resistant 👍💪
The watch is advertised as a diver .. OK, it's got the water resistance of a diver. Does it have the desired durability? Some on this discussion have said "no". I happen to like the size and look of it (Does that make me warped? .. Probably.) .. And to add to the controversy, I ordered the gold one! .. Please, don't everyone throw tomatoes at me all at once! .. Anyway, I have always believed that if you like something that happens to cut against the grain, follow your own instincts because at the end of the day, you only have to answer to yourself. The worst that can happen is I'm out 72 bucks on a beater.
BigAlSvidIts a simple design its not awful at all and its a quartz watch it should be durable enough good luck with your purchase enjoy share some pics
That figures, no one likes it, but I kind of do. Except for two things😄. I hate superfluous - why does it have a ring with the minutes on it? Just the face and the timer bezel (which has minutes) would have been awesome. 2. It's a dive watch which are usually bought for their supposed toughness - this one has no protection for the crown! The crown is just sitting out there begging to get damaged. Very poor design, or lack of design. A pseudo tough watch designed to look rugged, but not actually be rugged.
Probably for fans of the show "Agents of Shield"! I wouldn't go so far as to describe the watch as "garbage"; but each to their own opinion. But the logo and fairy floss colourways are not helping it. There is a cushion style watch from Bulova with an emerald green dial, which at first look seems a very strong colour but they have done such a good job with the rest of this "Oceanographer" series watch that the quirky offset bezel and this dial colour work well. But unfortunately "Shield" have not been able to pull it off!

Or for less than $72, you could choose any 1 watch from the picture below, from a retailer that actually respects you as a customer. To be fair, I think I paid $85 on sale for the Parnis gmt.
