I watch these shows and all I can keep thinking of is, HOW CAN THE FOOD EVER BE HOT?
Sorry but I can cook decently and present pretty well but FFS I will refuse to serve or eat cold food (was hot) and nothing in these shows implies they are hot ever.

I'm referring to the time to complete a plate using various kitchen presentation tools. You know, making it look fancy. By then the food is getting cold. Etc.

I know, I was responding to Sir_Playsalot. I think keeping food hot or cold is only a problem if you are making a fancy dish for a larger amount of people. If you are cooking fancy for your significant other I don't see his being an issue. Restaurants usually do not plate food unless it is ready to go out to the table (fancier ones, less fancy restaurants use warmers to keep food warm) Of course, using the stainless steel rings would be better than acrylic anyways because they will keep food hotter and colder than plastic but normally you only use these molds for a minute tops when plating.
