Damn, I wish I hadn’t ordered the Noble X. The specs on this should kill it.

jgosrocSpecs don't necessarily mean better sound. Especially from chifi, most of the time they just throw in more drivers to entice people to buy them but the sound is worst than a properly tuned single dd iem.

PotatoRawri do get that. I have had Nobles 5, 6 the K10, has the Heir 8.0. I currently have the Audio64 u12t and Westone W80 at the moment. But I’m impressed with the improvement in ChiFi In the last couple years, so I will probably grab them anyway, as it’s nearly the same price as the Noble X. I’m enjoying the latter though. I think it’s nicely tuned. The finish on Noble is always good, except the sub-par cables.

zep483Either you haven’t heard many or you have heard only amazing iems. Lucky you. We all think we’re audiophiles- that’s why we join forum’s like this and head-fi. To each his own. I think even 8 years later or whatever, the K10 stands pretty tall. I agree to the first comment, it is the way the iem is tuned; and for me the K10s were my favourites, though I am back retro rocking some Shure 846s, to scratch an itch. I’m 47, i enjoy my music but don’t obsess between soundscapes and the latest 4K iems. I have to assume you have heard a defective pairs of Nobles or something. The idea that they are bad iems is just a kind of prejudice I reckon. I don’t throw tonnes of cash at iems anymore, my tastes switched to 20k hi fi (second hand) systems… which isn’t a lot In that world, but it’s where my wallet begins screaming so loud I can’t hear any more increases in fidelity…
