I couldn't really tell the difference between the sound signature of Shure SE 215 and SE 315...
That's exactly why I wish this drop offered higher end Shure 535's or 846's IEMs at a decent discount off market prices. That's what group buys are for - trying to get products I like for less than they would cost me to get elsewhere (Amazon) in 2 day's for about the same price MD has.
I recently returned the SE 215's (via Amazon). Thought they sounded awful, I think this entire line is over rated to the point of urban legend.
I won't say they sound awful, but decent. I only use them mostly when I take a walk, jog, or workout. It's affordable and easy to replace the cable if it breaks. It's simply a fair investment.
