I've had these for ther last 6-8 months and I'm telling you, they are not worth it. These were my first IEM's and I regret selling my open backs to get the 215's. BTW I got them 6 months ago for this exact same price from Amazon, how is this a drop? the same with the Audioengine A2+ I just bought.

MXVZYou can't expect IEMs to outperform full sized headphones. Pound for pound, a pair of cans will always be better.

DinerenblancAgreed. They serve completely different purposes, just like speakers will always blow headphones out of the water, dollar for dollar.
For portable use (one of the many uses of IEMs) the isolation is second only to customs and will probably help you in NOT getting punched in the face by someone commuting next to you.

SennyIn addition to having great isolation, they also offer some of the best comfort and build quality at this price point. You can buy IEMs for less that sound as good, or you can pay more but will always get diminishing returns. If you value comfort and a replaceable cable, you would have to pay several times the price to match these and get better sound. I own the LTD and haven't heard the regular SE215 so I couldn't comment on the difference though.
