I've been using these as my go-to travel IEMs, and they are beautiful. Matching my DT770 Pro 80ohms in sound quality, but with a bit punchier bass. Haven't tried the original 215s for comparison, but for travel or exercise, these are absolutely amazing. The major drawback I'd have to say, is that they take a second or two longer to put in properly, due to the ear-wraps. This is well worthwhile when you'll be using them for long periods, but when you're constantly having to take them in and out for office use, they can be quite fiddly.
Highly recommended. Very clear signature, with a bit of a tight kick in the lows. Not flabby, and not with any significant high-rounding that most bass-focused audio equipment seems to suffer from.

CrystalmystThese are pretty good headphones with the comply tips. I'll agree they sounds like portable DT770 pro's on my head. I have the klipsch image s4's and it feels like the SE215's are a little more muddier on my prodigy cube DAC. The S4's are the clearest headphones ive heard at the 120$ range. But the S4's high range is so piercing at higher volumes that I feel fatigued pretty quickly. So in that case, the SE215's are a better overall IEM.

BenjjiI had S4i II's for about a month and found them muddy and lacking detail. Then they broke and Klipsch sent me X4i's as replacements. What a difference! So much cleaner and detailed it was like removing a thick curtain from between me and the music. My HiFiMan RE0 (no longer available) or the RE-400 are much clearer IEM's than the Klipsch S4.
The SE215's are tuned for the masses with excessive bass. Pass.

DownSouthThe bass on these are actually not excessive. The increased bass is very tight and controlled, not flabby bass like most mass-induced basscans.
