If you are looking for clarity, stray away from these. If you like bass, give 'em a try. I favor the sound of a Balaced Armature driver and I use the Fidue A83. I was shocked when I heard this IEM. It has the Shure house sound, which is dark. However, for this price, I expected better. The bass is not very controlled, and the overall sound signature was muddy. Usually, people who like these IEMs are those who are sensitive to higher frequencies. The highs in this IEM are very recessed and the mids are slightly recessed as well. The bass is the most prominent and the sound signature is not V shaped, but instead I would describe the sound signature as being an upwards slope with the lowest part being the highs and the most prominent part being the bass region. I would highly recommend trying something less expensive like the SE215 to see if you like it before looking at anything else that is more expensive from Shure. Also, most of Shure's IEMs are old and outdated, but still at the same price, which is bad. The SE215, for example, was once one of the best budget options, but now it is not as there is simply more out there that is more valuable at $100. I suspect that is also the case with these 535's. I recommend looking at VSonic's IEMs. Their VSD3 and VSD3s are great options for under $100. Their GR07BE and GR07CE are good values at a little over $100. The RHA T10i is a nice IEM at aroun $200. The T10i's are a very consumer-friendly V shaped sound signature that does not cater only to audiophiles. Lastly, the new TTPOD T2 is worth taking a look at. It has 3 drivers, 2 BA and 1 dynamic.
I hope that helps! -K

This is the exact opposite of basically every review out there.
