Guys don't even bother with this one. The blessing 2 are miles ahead in term of sound quality. I own the shure 535 and 846. Both are relics from the past and don't compete at their price point anymore.

League544Tbh, I have no idea why. The product is mediocre by today standard and the price is pretty bad (bought mine for 300$ on amazon years ago).

Ortho_SympaThe 846 has a much better low-end than the Blessing2 and it also isn't as mid-forward and bright and can get sibilant on "sh" sounds. Let alone from a size perspective, they're kinda large. The Shure has the better low and midrange IMO as it's quite flat and neutral but lacks some air/sparkle. Unless you just prefer a brighter tuning, the Blessing2 leaves a lot to be desired even though it is cheaper.

jaydunndidditI like the se 846. They're simply way overpriced for what they offer. The bass is good but lacks the slam of a DD. the detail retrieval is mediocre but the tuning is quite enjoyable for almost every genre.

Ortho_SympaI'd have to disagree on price. They aren't cheap, but "fair." For an all BA setup, they have the texture of a DD with some good sub-bass and lack the weird typical BA tonality. And it's not like the Blessing2 slams even as a hybrid with its DD. Even looking at FR, the Shure has them beat there. The Blessing2 is tuned like the ER4XR with a spike at 8k. Just way too much upper mids and faked detail by that spike. The 846 have imaging and detail separation on par with my Andromeda's. They lack the soundstage width/depth but notes and instruments are clearly placed and delineated in its field. That and the 846 are sweat proof. The main reason I've kept them is their SQ and build as I use them when biking and exercising. I've had them for 3 years now and can't think of another TOTL set that sounds as good as them that'll take their level of abuse.

jaydunndidditThe comparison with the blessing 2 was meant for the 535, not the 846. Plus the B2 dusk is there if you want a warmer tuning. But i would still take the SA6, clairvoyance, monarch and S8 over the 846 any day. I guess that's up to your preference and the type of music you listen at that point. The fit on the shure iems is amazing tho.

Ortho_SympaThe Monarch is something special though; nothing comes close within even double the price. Haven't heard the Clair, but Crin says it's up there so I trust him on that one.

jaydunndidditSo are you trying to say that balanced armature drivers offer more clarity/texture/detail than dynamic drivers? Sound like you know a little bit more than I do about IEMs, what’s the appeal to all BA sets? Why are balanced armatures even used over DD/EST? I own 14 BA iems so I’d like not to feel dumb about buying them over DD sets that are amazing at bass which I crave.

speller26I would recommend the Voyager 14 over the Monarch if you’re bothered by size and you want a set that is much more comfortable in the ear. The monarch probably has better bass and better sound overall with less detail but it’s much bigger in size to be noted.

Should I exchange the PC38X for better headphones?

I bought the PC38X headphones FOR GAMING and they are great, but I have NO use for a Microphone since I don't do competitive gaming and I was wondering if there were better headphone options at a similar price without a headphone, where (presumably) more of the cost was put into making it sound better. I also find that my PC38X don't get quite as loud as I would like and I was wondering if a cheap amp like the iFi Go link would draw a little more volume out of my phones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN6MM822?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I went with the PC38X since it was considered the best bang for buck headphones. Looking for a gaming/content audio setup

Hello! I'm looking for recommendations on audio setups. I'd be planning on using it mostly for gaming. Preferably I'd like a pair of large closed back headphones since I have a big head and jaw. I'd also like to hear myself through my mic with mic monitoring. As far as budget goes, I don't really have one. But under 600$ would be nice. I can go higher if needed. The audio setup would be connected to a high performance PC. Thank you in advance for any recommendations!

$10 Drop Coupon Email not sent?

Trying to buy some gear off Drop for the first time. I was told I would receive an email with a welcome to drop $10 off promo. I never received that email. Drop was able to send me emails for my login token and email for Password update. But for some reason the $10 off coupon was never sent to me.

Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.
