So would these have the 2 year warranty? I assume these are being purchased directly from Shure, and would we be able to choose colors?

For all products on Massdrop, warranty requests should first be directed to Massdrop support ( handling initial warranty support requests is part of the value we offer our vendors) but the full two year warranty is supported.
You can choose between clear and bronze at checkout.

What you say appears to contradict what is listed in the FAQ: "The best way to handle warranties, any product defects or malfunctions should be handled directly with the manufacturer first. If they’re unwilling to honor their product warranty, contact us within the manufacturer’s warranty period and we’ll coordinate the product exchange or repair on your behalf." I trust you are correct (or I am misunderstanding something), so time to update the FAQ?

They're both roughly correct. Will has a master list of "these companies will work directly with the customer, i.e. Audioengine", and "these companies have to go through Massdrop". So contacting support will often result in "yes, please talk to the manufacturer, they'll look after you" - which is effectively what the FAQ is saying, it cuts out a step though.
Communications logistics aside, manufacturers directly handle warranties first, and if they're being difficult about it, we backstop the warranty.

Thanks for the clarification. Massdrop staff is always outstanding in responding quickly to reasonable queries from customers. --forward this to CEO and VCs :)
I would not worry about warranty for this drop as Shure has been around for a long time, with worldwide offices. Their warranty service appears to be customer friendly, not based on personal experience, but from reading posts in other websites.
