I got these on Amazon September 18, 2012 Item Subtotal: $148.20 Shipping & Handling: $3.99 Total Before Tax: $152.19 Shipment Total: $152.19
I did have to RMA them after about 5 months, but after that I have had no problems.
The headband makes them a bit heavy and if you sneeze that extra mass will send them flying. Also not the best headphones if you like to lean back in a chair and watch a movie, they will slip if you lean back too far. I use these on my PC every day for what is probably way too long and they stay comfortable the whole day. The sound is very clinical to if you don't like that you may want to look at something else.
If you do get these I would also recommend getting the "Shure HPAEC1540 Replacement Alcantara Ear Pads" or "Shure HPAEC940 Replacement Velour Ear Pads". I personally prefer the HPAEC1540 ear pads. PIC with them.

London Drugs in Canada has these on for $200 CAD, less than even the lowest price before shipping.

The price here is $40 less than the typical street price, which I paid just last year. It's true that Amazon or other outlets have had a sale price occasionally, but the street price is still $200 from authorized dealers, so getting $40 off is good unless you want to keep checking for sales.

Really? Even in my country they cost around US$ 150. I don't think this is too much of a deal

I love these headphones. They are a little on the older side as I had acquired my first pair in elementary from my dad as my only birthday gift on my 11th birthday. They have a decent sound signature (towards analytic side of audio). They have a less aggressive sound, so if you're the kind of person that is attached to their ath-m50xs you will probably dislike these. These headphones are great for beginners into the audio world, as they slowly created me into an audiophile. It was a terrible downwards spiral of purchasing many expensive headphones and amps all through out middle school and high school just because of these cans. I prefer my beyer dynamic 250 ohm 770 and 80 ohm 770 just because I am addicted to their sound. I would recommend these as I have owned 2 pairs, but I personally would prefer fostex trp50s or beyer dynamic 770s as you can get them in a similar price range, but I would gladly got to my good old srh 840s any day over ath m50xs or most other closed backs in this price range. The coiled cable is a little on the heavier side, but can stretch to hilariously pointless lengths (I don't imagine most people having to be 15-20 feet away from their source).
