An update after a month's use of these keycaps if anyone's interested: I've discovered light leaks on top of a few alpha keys, but mine're barely visible even with a close look. and there are others who reported this issue on Taobao page, but theirs are way worse than mine. (I've attached one of the pics they posted) So quality of these keycaps may be an issue here

AudithThat actually wouldn't be bad in my case, cause I'm planning on sanding down the top so the light shines through there as well, but yeah for others that doesn't sound soo good.

AudithYah, any of the painted and etched caps will wear through eventually. High use keys or ones that get more contact with your nails generally bleed first. For me it's usually the alt key.
Having the legends on the front in theory should help them last a little longer but with the shoddy coating in that picture probably not.
I'll be sticking with translucent doubleshot from vortex(pbt) or ducky(abs).

AudithI have these keycaps one month now. I didn't notice it myself, but after reading this, I looked for it. And indeed, some keys have it. Especially the 'F'. I guess it will only get worse. Definitely have to lookout for better ones then. I want to keep my VB87M as pristine as possible. Any suggestions?

DarkAngelzI would like to see the sanding result of these keycaps... If you ever decide to do it, a picture would be more than welcome!

RonaykeI sure put some pictures, my only and biggest problem now is that I still need it in ISO layout (UK keyboard) and so far I've only come across ANSI layout, and I have the feeling this one is ANSI as well :( btw I want something like this:

,but mine will only shine in orange, I have a corsair quickfire rapid-i, I'm changing the LEDs first :)

ryan92084"...contact with your nails..."
Honest, non-trolling question here: Is that mostly a problem for women, because they usually have longer nails than men? Do the nails chew into the keys?
I'm a guy with short nails, so I've never thought about the effects of wear due to contact with nails. This is interesting.

SamPittmanI'm a dude with short nails but with the way the side of my thumb hits the space bar, alt, win and sometimes ctrl keys chips the paint much faster. Particularly around the legends. I would imagine someone with longer nails would have a similar issue with other keys.

AudithThanks for this. Key shine was my main concern about these caps, but wearing to the point of backlight bleeding is even worse. Really hope to see more backlit PBT caps soon.
