These compare well with my Harbeth P3ESR's which cost considerably more. In my system, sound signature wise, the P3's are warmer, the Sierra's more neutral with more apparent detail. In that, the Sierras remind my of the Etymotic ER4S, detailed, yet without added harshness or sibilance. If you're hearing that, it's likely your system or the recording that is the problem.
These are excellent speakers.

I am a happy owner of the Harbeth P3esr special 40th anniversary edition, and I really love them... you should mention that the harbeth are smaller and closed. They are incredibly accurate in the mid range, which is why the voices sound incredibly real...
