For anyone looking to pare down weight by transitioning to a non-freestanding tent, the Sierra Designs Flashlight has a lot to offer. It’s available in the original 2014 design (green), as well as the 2015 FL design (yellow). The latter uses lighter materials to shave 5 ounces off the one-person version and 10 ounces off its two-person counterpart, and uses only three guy lines—compared to the original’s five—for setup. All tents have vestibule space and doors proportionate to their capacity; no-see-um mesh netting for increased airflow; and a tall, sloped ceiling that allows you to sit up and move around comfortably.
Note: This drop’s base price is for the Sierra Designs Flashlight 1. At checkout, you can opt for the Flashlight 1 FL (+ $60), the Flashlight 2 (+ $16), or the Flashlight 2 FL (+ $115). All poles, guy lines, and stakes required for setup are included.
Founded in 1965, Sierra Designs makes streamlined, high-performance gear to help people enjoy the great outdoors. The company’s sleeping bags, tents, and apparel have won numerous awards from Outside Magazine, National Geographic, Backpacker Magazine, and more.
