Great jacket, super puffy and warm. Very comfortable, and really keeps you warm. The pockets are quite nice, and the zippers are very high quality. I would totally recommend this to anyone looking for this type of jacket, it's definitely worth it. That being said, I would not recommend ordering a size up ( I am in europe so sizes are a bit different) as the jacket is quite big.
It is my go to for a night out on the town and in my pack if the temperature is around freezing. In fact when's it's cold my better half ends up wearing it because I sleep warm.
I've hiked in the northeast in every season with this jacket now and I love it. The inner cuff does a great job keeping the cold air out and it stuffs up so small it takes up no room in your pack. Like most lightweight puffer coats, the exterior fabric is not waterproof and can/does tear if caught on a sharp rock or pricker-bush. The rip-stop does keep the damage minimal, but down feathers will escape the tiniest holes of course. It is easily repaired with a little tenacious tape. If you get the opportunity to pick up this jacket, I highly recommend it. Add a rain coat over it and you'll be toasty warm!
Drop had it for a very good price so I grabbed it quickly in time for winter in Australia. For the price you get treated 800 FP down and this alone is too hard to miss.
It's a pretty basic down jacket and the only feature worth mentioning is the additional lycra cuff built into the sleeves. They are so comfortable and really seal the gap around the cuff nicely, especially if you have skinny wrists.
The amount of insulation sits between those very light weight/thin baffle insulated jackets and heavier 'Michelin man' style puffies, making it so versatile.
It's not perfect of course, and I have two complaints. First is the collar. When zipped up to the check or higher, the ends of the collar sit right next to both sides of the chin and my face would touch it whenever I turn my head, and I don't like that. It would help if they line it with some soft fabric like tricot.
Secondly the position of the two hand pockets is slightly too low for me, so that if I have my phone or wallet in the pocket, the object in the pocket is perfectly positioned to prevent my hip from bending when sitting down. Many times as I sat down I felt this hard object in the front of my hip/groin and it was the phone in the pocket.
Oh and another nitpick. The logo looks so cheap. The white font on my green jacket is terrible. If I didn't know the brand, I would not trust it by looking at the logo.
Otherwise this is a great beater puffy jacket for moderate winter.
Seems well-made. Rustles a lot. After a month of regular wear, it has held together perfectly, although the neck lining has discoloured somewhat from contact. I am very happy given the price. I wear it a lot.
