When you’re out on the trail and all by your lonesome, you don’t want to lug around and set up an oversized tent meant for a larger party. A solo shelter that is amazingly simple to set-up while still retaining every bit of utility, the Sierra Designs Solo Assault Shelter is a compact and light (four pounds six oz packed up) solution to all of your individual sleeping needs.
Pitch a Tent
Out of the bag, the Solo Assault Shelter is erected in only a few steps. After laying out the tent body, thread the bent poles through their corresponding sleeves and secure one tip of each pole in an outer gromet on the stake loops. From there, push the poles into an arched position- starting with the longest- and secure the other end of each pole in a gromet. If you need more room and brought an extra shelter, you can attach it via the tarp vestibule, but otherwise you’re all set.
Companionless Camper
In addition to being simple to set-up, the Solo Assault Shelter has a SuperSeal floor, an air flow ventilation system, two doors, and 22 square feet of room inside. Throw in enough headroom to sit up in and durable construction that’s ready for real weather, and the Sierra Designs Solo Assault Shelter is an all purpose tent meant for the most important person in your life: you.
