People will either see this as only the cost of the wood (all the haterade drinkers)...or...recognize the actual craftsmanship of the process. I very much respect the latter, but will stick with more frugal solution.
It's not really an either/or situation though...I see the validity to both points, but the true fact of the matter is that this stand performs identically to models 80% cheaper. Literally the only things it has going for it are "But the craftsmanship" and maybe the wood quality?
I'm just baffled that people would be willing to spend the $$ difference I suppose. But that's their prerogative, such is life
That was, is and will always be the case with any luxury item :) For example, plenty of people are baffled by $75k cars, $300 watches or $100 wines (and that's low end of a scale) when they perform functions nearly identical to models 80% cheaper. Everyone has their own indulgences whether they realize it or not.
