I'd really like to see the 70-200 f/2.8 EX DG APO OS HSM, which is the version without macro. Doing both telephoto zoom and macro results in too many tradeoffs, IMO, and you get a lens that isn't that great at either. The non-macro Sigma 70-200s have a history of being solid zooms, albeit bulky/heavy in older versions.

I don't think that's the really the case. When I try to join the drop, the options I have are "Pentax" or "Sony and Minolta" and not Sony E-Mount. Does a specific E-Mount option appear after that?
Doing a little more research after seeing your response I came across the following:
" Generally, all Minolta AF (ie Minolta a-mount) lenses from Minolta will work on Sony alpha cameras. This may include the e-mount NEX range, if used with an LA-EA1 or 2 adaptor, although there may be restrictions." https://community.sony.co.uk/t5/alpha-nex-interchangeable-lens-cameras/will-minolta-lens-fit-sony-alpha/td-p/301401
Having read that I think I'll pass, but best of luck with the drop.
