The description might lead you to think of this lens as a great full-frame wide-angle (or FX for you Nikon buffs), but Ken Rockwell says it's only usable at 16mm for full-frame and film (see http://www.kenrockwell.com/sigma/8-16mm.htm). Super sharp for 1.6x bodies, though that makes it ~12mm at the widest.

This is a great lens. It was my first wide angle zoom, and I regret selling it because it was optically great, and totally rectilinear. Also, 8mm is significantly wider than 10mm, and especially 12mm (which is my widest prime now).

This is a sweet drop. Approx 150 bucks less than B&H. I'm so tempted to buy this but the question is for this kind of money you could pick up the Nikon 10-20P and the 40mm macro. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1366791-REG/nikon_13534_landscape_macro_2_lens_kit_af_p.html
