Silica gel resin is definitely soft. So soft that I would be very concerned about the longevity of these caps. The caps that I have personally cast with silica resin become loose on the stems with use, and they are very inconsistent with how well aligned they are on the board. You can even see this in the pics provided for the drop - just look at the right hand modifiers.
I wouldn't buy these without the full expectation that they are purely a novelty set.

scoff_lawYup, it's so soft that if your stem/cap doesn't align properly they are recommending that you "twist" the cap/stem to fix alignment. lol. No thank you.
