Insta-buy if rainbow colour was offered, instead of a single solid colour. As such, my wallet is safe.

Won't fit, from what I have seen the Ornata is a membrane keyboard.

Appreciate that. I don't have (and actually don't like) Razer keyboards, but I do recognize that they're better than roughly 100% of the membrane keyboards I could be using, and even some of the shittier Mech boards with weird off-brand switches like Zorro. I wouldn't recommend Razer but I won't bash someone for using it.
They're not the best, and they're not for me, but they're nowhere near "trash."
Hey everyone, got my hands on these recently and they are pretty interesting. One of our coworkers has been using it the past few days and is enjoying the experience. One nitpick, the full silica gel construction means the keycap can be twisted at the stem, though you can just twist it back.

Funny seeing you here, friend :^) seriously though, what was your experience? Thoughts while typing, thoughts for gaming? Definitely interested but not sure if I want to bite the bullet.

YanboWuAny way you could post video or a sound test for these keycaps? I think that would really help people make a decision about them.

I got my tracking number, and that's what fed-ex is saying, anyway. Barring any bad weather, the estimate I get is usually right.

Standard rubber dome keyboards are mushy and dumb. Discover Mechanical keyboards and everything's amazing. ABS, PBT, backlighting, doubleshot, man O man, what a world! Now silicon caps, woah! Wait, now board is mushy again. Snake has eaten its tail. Good times.
captainalphabetI wouldn't say that it's an identical sensation though. It feels more like Topre switches sometimes imo (depending on the mechanical switch)

I live in the UK and the drop says estimated delivery will be in MAY. I'm not being funny but may thats 3 whole months. Is it possible to get faster delivery? Cause I am interested in the product.

I had that happen, Ordered a keyboard (the magic force 68), ordered in January, said may shipping, but by the time it shipped I had both forgotten about it, and moved houses, though I had sent an email to massdrop about the change of address way before hand. they didnt ship me mine, and it took another 3 weeks to get it shipped and another week to ship.
It does take massdrop awhile to ship, but as long as its a non-vital thing, ill order from massdrop. If its something I need now, ill order elsewhere.

Would hop on a set if they were white, but the rainbow colours aren't really suited to my tastes, oh well.

I like the idea of translucent keycaps for my RGB keyboard, but I doubt I'd want transparent ones because I don't enjoy seeing the crosses and circles on their undersides.

VarholiaglimpYes, by "translucent white or clear" I totally had in mind like a natural/frosted, translucent "clear" rather than actually transparent :) I also prefer the LEDs to be diffused a bit

Not that it would be wise to do this, but because they are silicone is there any possibility that these could be dishwasher safe? (I'll have started a revolution if anyone sees keycaps that use this in their marketing materials)

I have had a set of these for just over 3 years now. They are on my primary keyboard. I'm a developer, have done all my typing on these keys. I love them. I'm a touch typist though, there is no legend on them. I have mostly white switches, with a couple browns for keys like backspace/caps lock etc, because with the white switches they bottom out and stay bottomed out (not the fault of these caps). I came from a fully brown keycap to white because I didn't like how the bump was not the actuation point (slightly further). Anyway these silicone caps feel soft and totally different than anything I've ever had and I've been computing since I was a kid (25 years or so). I originally had them on browns for about a year and they were great on that set too. They seem to not be popular so its really hard to get your hands on them, to be safe I bought 2 sets to have a backup for the future. The wider caps like spacebar/shift/tab etc can be a little problematic at times but I switched to a split keyboard so my spacebars are now only as wide as the shift keys. People are complaining of these popping off. I've had that happen maybe 10 tens over 3 years, I don't know how people are that hard on their keys unless they are aggressively angry or something. They do build up finger scum heavily but they are so easy to pop off that cleaning them is actually easier than regular plastic keys. I just use my finger nail to scrape it off quickly - they are soft so scraping them is easier than harder keys since they have more give to break it up. They also do 'shine' over from constant use but what caps don't? maybe metal? So if you like the idea of soft keycaps, just get these, you can always have the longer keys have some other caps to alleviate the weirdness of silicone over long keys having too much wobble. 100% recommend these.
