Is there any pop sound when switching from OFF to PRE or PRE to HPA on the switch?

Yes. You will hear a noticeable mechanical noise when switching. It's quite louder than THX 789's knob turn (near silent though). I don't change the settings so it doesn't bother me (headphone only). If you will switch often I am not sure how long the switch will last (it's very small/slim/thin; I can't call it sturdy).

ncdealseekerThanks for your reply! I just got the Singxer SA-1 after much consideration and research on the sound quality, and I would say the switches feel decent and tactile. I think it would last a good few years. For other people there who has this same question as me, there's certainly a soft pop noise when switching outputs through the HPA or PRE outs, but it's not annoying like with cheaper amps. The pop is not a strong bassy loud pop, but rather a softer pop with rolled off bass if that makes sense? It's noticeable on low impedance IEMs and if your active monitors are on very high gain.

I have a Iota vx sa-3 amplifier, would this pair well with it, as I was looking for a dedicated headphone amplifier?

This will interconnect with your integrated amp via rec out or pre out. 1st will give you fixed level, the second will be variable.
