Hard to beat at its price
I purchased the "advanced" version after reading two very favorable reviews at Head-fi.org. I have not been at all disappointed. The build quality and sound quality have exceeded my expectations. With a detailed, authoritative and refined sound, this unit holds its own, even though my other headphone electronics are more expensive. Compared to the RME ADI-2 DAC/Amp, the Singxer has a much better headphone amp section. My Meze Empyrean and Ether 2 headphones sound great with this unit, which has plenty of power for them. The Head-fi reviews advised against using IEMs with the Singxer, so I have not tried that. There is no gain switch. No user instructions were included, but I found a User Handbook, and software drivers available for download at the Singxer website. I am using USB driver version 4.86.0.42559 with my Windows 10 PC. Six digital filters may be chosen from. The differences are very subtle, but I found I prefer the S-Slow filter which seemed to provide a slightly smoother sound. The remote control is a great feature and part of the reason I chose to purchase this unit. So far I have used the USB and coax inputs with great results. I have also used the Singxer as a DAC, connected to my HeadAmp GS-X mini headphone amp, with excellent results. The pre-amp outputs (balanced and RCA) may be set as fixed or variable.

Chessman47Hello, I have also owned it for 6 months and can't say anything that is bad. The only feature is that the fuse is not that great. I have replaced it. Otherwise, I agree with Chessman on all points. s-Slow is also my preferred setting. It can be operated with Audirvana Dsd, where it only works in Nos mode without filter setting. With Audirvana it can play up to 256 Dsd via Usb. More is possible when connected to a Singxer Su 1,2,6 or Matrix Audio Element Spidf via I2s. I am still thinking about this, otherwise I have gained a bit more performance with a Matrix Audio Element H. I am very satisfied with the Singxer Sda 2 C. Very great dac for the money. I listened to headphones with the Fostex Trx00, Denon 2000, Denon D7200 and Audeze lcd 2 classic. Except for the Denon D7200 it left a real grin on my face. Furthermore, for me it doesn't need an equalizer and I can sit back and relax and enjoy the music.

AlbertAngHi Albert. During the short period that I had the ADI-2, I didn't directly compare them as DACs. However I'm confident that the ADI-2 is the superior DAC. I was mainly disappointed with the headphone outputs and operational complexity of the ADI-2.
