Singxer SU-6 USB Digital Interface

If you’re looking for a straight-forward approach to desktop audio conversion, you’ll want to consider the SU-6 USB Digital Interface from Singxer. Reserving the front panel for just a few indicator lights— favoring back-oriented IO—this little black box with inset, rounded feet channels vibes not dissimilar to high-end stereo equipment from the ‘90s. On the inside, there’s a ton of attention to detail on the component front. The SU-6 is powered by the XMOS xCORE-200 series chip that’s found in many of Singxer’s modern units, but this unit also harnesses the power of Xilinx’s PGA chip for added processing and conversion power. This interface relies on two Crystek CCHD-957 femtosecond crystal oscillators for an excellent signal-quality foundation and up to 384 kilohertz and 32 bits of resolution. From an I/O standpoint, you’ll find standard USB 2.0 on the input side, with a host of output options including S/PDI fiber, coaxial, RCA, BNC, AES/EBU for the balanced XLR output, and even HDMI for added functionality.
