If you were to stretch out the leather by putting 4-6 cards in the pockets and then go down to only one, you may be able to shake the card loose. But as it rides in your pocket, the top will also smush down a bit and make a little lip that prevents the cards from sliding out on their own. I've never had a problem with stuff falling out of any of my wallets. In terms of how many cards can fit in each pocket, I have experience with 2-3 cards per pocket, but because of the nature of leather, it will stretch to what you want to stuff in it. If you really wanted you could likely break it in to fit 4-6 cards in each card slot, and even a thicker stack in the spaces behind the pockets. So in direct answer to your question, it will definitely fit 7-10 cards-- no problem at all. I keep the cards I use most in the easily accessible slots and put insurance cards and other less-used cards in a small stack in one of the behind pockets. I designed it with the intention of having your 4 or so most used cards easily and quickly accessible. Hope this helps!
