Keep in mind, same price on a lot of other sites as far as I can tell. Looks like Nordstrom Rack, for one.

I will say up front that I'm not a big Skagen guy, and I'll toss in that MD's ask for this model is cheaper than Amazon's--but not by an amount that would make me wait a month for delivery.
Still, if a guy found the general design and price of a Skagen appealing--I wouldn't fault him for it. But this model?
Yuk! I get Bauhaus, but not Bow-wow!
Anyone seriously thinking about this drop, owes it to himself to take a look at the full range Skagen has to offer at their website or at Amazon. This model is kind of like the last chick in the bar at closing time; definitely not pick of the litter.

I have a couple Skagen watches, but if it weren't for the styles I don't think they would sell. The second hand doesn't always align with the mark and took quite a bit of effort to put the back on after battery replacement. One jeweler said they don't even do it on them typically, because it's not worth the hassle.

Skagen watches are nice, but have one major flaw, the leather bands is not sewn together, just glued and will, after about nine months, start to seperate. It will start where you buckle it and spreads out from there. Replacements cost anywhere from 30.00 to 50.00 USD, if they have them in stock. Plus the crystals scratch and crack a little to easily.

The actual watch it self is nice, but since the were bought by Fossil, some corners were cut and the leather watch bands seem to be the spot they were cut. Don't get me wrong, that is a sign of a cheap watch, but Skagen designs are nice and mechanics of them seen real good. Sad that a couple of extra dollars can't be spent to fix a simple issue.

Pmtski45You are dead right; I was lucky enough to buy my wife one of their more expensive bracelet watches and a leather strap model in 2012, it was old stock and you can see and feel the difference between those watches and some of today's offerings. Skagen seems to be one of the volume designer brands that had adopted the minimalist trend early on, which is why at the time my wife liked them; that and also purchase prices under $200 usd. It is a shame that when companies are absorbed into larger conglomerates that they drop so dramatically in quality.
