So I really love the concept of this design (I believe the Russians were the ones who originally designed this style belt for their military many decades ago) but after wearing it to work for the last 6 months, a couple of cons that I have discovered with this belt so far:
  1. Weight of the buckle vs. the weight of the leather-buckle is very heavy and isn't matched with a heavy weight leather so with slacks or khackis, I find the belt wanting to slide out of the belt loops when getting dressed and/or using the restroom (not so fun when your belt slides out and lands on a dirty public restroom floor).
  2. The finish of the buckle is wearing on the top for some reason, not sure why there because the rest of the buckle seems to be holding up pretty well (my guess is that when sitting, your shirt can rub on the top of the buckle).
Otherwise, the belt is nice. I think either making the buckle lighter (would probably need to use an exotic material though which would raise cost) or using a heavier weight leather would fix the biggest issue for me. The finish could just be a fluke, so I can't say with 100% certainty that is an issue.
