Bluetooth died about 1 year in, ok sound quality
Normal office use with AD-18 with bookshelf speaker on lower level nearfield listening since purchased in 2019. About 1 year in, the Bluetooth was dead. The line-in quality is sub-par and not recommended. I am now using the USB connection to my Mac for desktop use only.

Perfect For What I Needed

I purchased this and paired it with some B&W Book-shelve speakers along with a flat screen TV in an RV. It had no problems driving the speakers. Watching movies was quite pleasant. I’d pair my iPhone for podcasts and my Pioneer XPR-30 DAP for some quality music. The remote was easy to use switching sources and preset EQ settings. I liked being able to switch the LED display color. I would buy this amp again.

Powerful and fully featured
Very good amp for driving speakers, and also providing a ton of features for the price. I use the Bluetooth connection quite often, and has no dropouts under around 15 meters.

Really convenient, compact and sounds good for the price. Perfect for when you want to have both speakers and headphones that you can switch between at a moments notice. My only issue is that the volume knob, whilst physically turning fine, seems to skip up and down in volume if you turn it too fast.

Horrible quality over Bluetooth (iOS)
This amp is passable through optical and USB, but totally falls flat over Bluetooth. Clipping, distortion and compression, it really sucks.

Well, like you said, in your opinion. Not everyone has the same experience with the AD18. Though, I ended up with the Topping MX3. *Shrug*

I stopped using my ad18 with USB and switched over to optical. Something about this amp and USB is super buggy. From the moment my computer monitor stopped going to sleep after 5 mins i knew something was up because this was the only thing i added to my machine. Switched to optical and boom, PC was back to normal. The SA300 doesn't have any USB issues and the BT and UI controls/performance are much improved.

Detailed reasons why SA300 is better imo: The USB on the AD18 is problematic. So I had to use optical on that. BT was also terrible. The SA300 has great USB and BT works properly. Also, RCA sub out is a huge plus as opposed to 3.5 sub out on AD18. Literally the only think on the ad18 worth considering is the optical in in my opinion. Even the headphone amp is mediocre.
