Just a quick note about the AD18 remote, I received my unit a few weeks ago and was working perfect but today the remote was not responding on the amplifier, I opened this community group and found the entry below that refers to pressing the A button and doing so has once again got my remote working fine again, so it seems you can run into this problem if an odd button is pushed and cancels the remote operation and must press the A button to get it working again.
It's because SMSL didn't develop a unique remote for each product. The company makes one remote for several systems. Because of this some buttons are not used by all products. I have the Q5 Amp Pro (the non Bluetooth version of the AD18) and it has the same remote. It has the same issues when I press buttons that aren't tied to its functionality. I'm sure it's a cost cutting measure. SMSL makes solid products for the price, but they have their quirks.
