The math doesn't add up. 50W PSU and 2*80W rated power. Does it come with a tiny reactor of a sort? ...or another kind of generator?
It looks cute, but the figures needs to match a little better for me to be willing to pay for it without having had a listen to it first.
I just looked at my AD18's power brick, and it says "Output: 24V ⎓ 6.67A." Based on Ohm's Law (P = V x I), that putts the wattage at 160.08W, which is awfully close to160W.
Edit: I see what you're referring to. "Amplifier consumption: 50W." That's taken directly from the manufacturer's literature. I suspect that the measurement is measured from the mains side of the power brick. FYI, the power brick's input says: "Input: 100-240ACV 2.1A."
It changed a lot when the PSU is rated that high. Means somebody should update the specs some, imo.
The primary side of the PSU will always be higher rated than the secondary side. But anyway...it doesn't look to bad now. Thanks for clarifying!
