I'm ready to receive plenty of flack and I don't want to appear totally stupid.
I'm in the midst of getting my early '80's Denon hifi (integrated amp/tuner) set back up with B&W speakers from the '90's and a new Technics turntable, if I can my hands on one.
I've iphone, ipad, etc... so what exactly is the purpose of this device, given my current tangent?
Thanks, apologies, and I don't need or expect any long dissertations, just a basic explanation of how this would be used to advantage.
This is like your Denon in function: it takes several inputs, can change the volume on them, and amplifies them for speakers.
Your Denon may have better (cleaner, louder) amplification. It probably doesn't have a Bluetooth or USB input.
I appreciate your kind reply.
This looks more like a device for ones who may wish to stream from a phone or tablet to external speakers.
It's pretty cool in many respects, but having come of age in the 70's and 80's, I really appreciate the technology and design from that period, as well as the sound.
The reduced size of this is amazing.
Again, thank you.
