Had this for about a month now and for the price, it's pretty good. A few quirks though, it shows up as a renderer in Bubble UPNp but storage attached directly to the DP3 does not appear as an accessible library. So I have to use HiBy link to use any hard drives connected to the device.
Otherwise it's a good, solid unit. I'm using it with a pair of Yamaha NX-N500's using the speakers inboard dac.
*Edit*
The DP3 works pretty well with an attached hdd via HibyLink but it's next to useless as a dlna player over a network. It consistently disappears from BubbleUpnP and reboots are necessary - and often.
It's a shame really as it does have a decent feature set especially for the price, but I can't rely on it as a network streamer. My Allo Boss Raspberry Pi streamer kicks its ass in terms of reliability, and it probably sounds better IMHO.
The SMSL DP3 looks like yet another poorly conceived example of Chinese hi-fi unfortunately.
*Further Edit*
Buzzing/ticks and pops in both channels, terrible when using it as a headphone amp, less noticeable when using it as a dac into my Violectric V200 - but it's still present.
A change of psu didn't help either.
Can't recommend it - avoid!
