A simple, inexpensive way to improve the sound quality from your iPhone 7 or another iOS device, the SMSL Icon Lightning DAC/amp is built small to go everywhere you do. The compact housing has an integrated microphone, a metallic gray finish, and asymmetrical beveled edges for a hint of style. On the top panel, three buttons allow you to control the volume, answer calls, and play, pause, or skip a song—and a small LED indicates on/off status and blinks during music playback. There’s a 3.5-millimeter jack to connect your headphones on one end, and on the other, an 11.8-inch Lightning cable to plug into your device. Finally, the SMSL Icon offers full-function support for Apple earbuds and is iOS app ready for future firmware updates.
