Would an iPod 6th Gen. drive it enough power? Or How much does it need to reach its full potential? I'll be doing: iPod>lightning>MicroUSB>SMSL>3.5mm>Headphones

The thing is kinda underpowered, it works fine on IEMS... but I can make a potato power an IEM (who did the science experiment in school will understand me).
Its exactly like a smartphone in term of power might even be less powerful. I see several scenario for this thing A. Your laptop's DAC died and you don't want to replace the laptop (Or repair) B. To use your IEMS on a desktop PC without on case headphone out C. To get a DAC to your collection of dust collectors

From what I've been able to determine, it works fine on desktops and laptops, but not on android phones.
I tried using using it on my windows 10 tablet that uses a micro usb connector as well, but that failed.
This leads me to believe that the issue is with the micro usb to micro usb cable.
Can someone test it with a new cable?

Going from nothing to anything, it's a profound difference. Probably doesn't rate compared to an E10K or the like, but for $30-40, and in this form factor, it's solid.
Only nitpick, doesn't seem to work on most Android phones. Might need to use an OTG cable? Not sure on that yet.

I ordered one from the last time this was available and still haven't gotten a shipping notice. They said to look for an update on 10/24 and I've seen nothing. Is there any update on this from Massdrop?

The emu and philips require a lot of power (emu more than shp9500). The idol+ can drive 32 ohms headphones wich require only little power (the idol+ give 35mw only so if your headphones request more than 35mw, the idol+ cannot handle est headphones.)
