Will this work with the JBL LSR305's?

HoisterThis is a passive speaker amp and it doesn't have a standard line out so it won't work. If the 'SUB out' works as a line out it would work but most SUB outs don't work as pass throughs like that. Finding a small, affordable speaker amp with a line out is fairly challenging, many in the $400-500 range don't even have it; it's frustrating. But if you're only using the JBLs you should be look at passive amps, interfaces, headphone dac/amps depending on your overall needs....

BeerCanChickenWth is a "passive amp"?
@Hoister This will not work with your JBL's. What you want is either a preamp (for volume control) or a DAC w/preamp.

skjetneIt can mean a lot of things to different people and people call it different things; "switch" may be used more often now. But it's essentially a line level pass through that would let you control the volume. Check out Schiit Sys, JBL NPatch, Micca Origen+, M-Audio M-Track, depending on your needs and source, something those..
