@ZeosPantera Another pairing if you don't mind me asking. I have an older pair of B&W CM1 bookshelves (http://www.bowers-wilkins.com/Downloads/Product/InfoSheet/ENG_FP17035_CM1_info_sheet.pdf). Do you think this amp would be sufficient to power these?

dont.go.plastic84db @ 2.83v, 1M I think that's kinda low/not efficient. I have the DM series 601 S3 using a Topping TP20 MKII but they are 88db @ 2.83v, 1M and they get plenty of sound of of them, but it has me looking for some more power.

DieselgeekThanks - I'll look into something a bit beefier :)
dont.go.plasticIf you're looking for normal listening volumes, this DAC/amp has enough power for all but the most power-hungry speakers.

dont.go.plastic84db is super inefficient. They MIGHT work at less than full volume but for those speakers you may want to get a separate, big stereo amp.

ZeosPanteraThanks for the input everyone. I ended up picking a SMSL Sanskrit 6 and a SMSL SA-160. Had the speakers running great for about 30 minutes until the SA-160 unit completely stopped outputting audio to the speakers. Headphone out works OK, though. RMA time :(

dont.go.plasticOh man that's awful to hear. I ended up buying a NAD D3020 off audio gon, and it's been great, but I've only had it about 18 hours!
