I think you mean "milliwatt" and not "megawatt" to drive the headphones....that would be a lot of power. Your headphones would easily go to 11 with that much power.
Indeed, I think at that level of power you would cease to have ears much less headphones.
To put the scale in perspective, a year ago Apple signed a 25-year agreement to buy the output of 130 megawatts of generation capacity of a solar project in Monterey County, California. That much power cost Apple $848 million. Someone should tell them they can get that much power for $84.99 from Massdrop. ;-)
I own 2 or 3 SMSL apps. I bought them before I knew massdrop existed! I really like them. I probably tested 10 class T amps and found the SMSL to be by far the best sounding. They really are a bargain. I only use one now, for the garage system, but still love it. Have a Sprout now as my main listening unit
Ehhh, I don't know... It still may not, be enough for HE-6s. ;-)
miliwatts not megawatts....
actually was going to ask if anyone had an HE-6 they tested with this as a combo. Doubtful tho.
Perfect for a pair of 6.5" bookshelf speakers? (Monoprice 8250, Dayton B652s??)
Don't see why not. Certainly AMPLE power.
