A great value at its price.
My HD6xx is already paired with my O2 desktop amp. So naturally I wanted to do an A/B comparison. I listened to one of my favorite FLAC recordings of some 70's style instrumentals. Off the bat, the sAp-1 is HALF the price of the O2. The differences are immediate, and apparent. The O2 (with gain disabled) has a wide and airy soundstage, highly detailed and a pleasure to listen to. The sAp-1 has a closed and darker soundstage, some high-frequency details masked, but more apparent bass. The O2 remains my amp of choice, and the sAp-1 is relegated for use in my lab, testing amplifiers, where I am not critical of the sound quality. At its price, the sAp-1 is a great value, especially for bassheads.

YachadMThank you for that ending note. I hate anything that is for bassheads since my ears are extremely bass sensitive. That alone made my mind up to not buy this amp.
