I have a SAP-9 and volume knob appears to toggles on/off and the LED light changes from Blue to Green, but either setting I still get sound and can control the volume so I'm not sure what pushing the volume knob actually does.

brianinlaAh, figured it out. Brief tap toggles Balanced (blue) vs RCA (green). Press and hold is OFF (red)
