ofirtalFiio E10K only has USB input and is self powered. This only has optical and coax and requires an external power supply. Otherwise the E10K has a bass boost.
You probably want to pick the one with the better features for your use case.

ofirtalThis smsl hands down, I've had both at the same time and the SMSL SD-793II is a much better sounding unit, the Fiio in comparison sounds sterile and has a smaller soundstage, it really sapped all the enjoyment out of my music. Something to consider is that the SMSL doesn't have usb, I use mine with an optical cable. Was happy to get rid of my E10k.

J.J.CThanks! Would you say they are enough to drive hd650\6xx? Looking at the specs my impression is that it's not powerful enough to bring the best out of my Sennheiser... but I'm really tight on budget and I can't think of another solution in this price range.

ofirtalI find it drives my q701's to ear splitting levels which is a notoriously hard headphone to drive even though the ohm rating isn't too high. I honestly don't know how it would be with the 650's
