CalvaryMFersMost TVs don't have USB audio out, but do have optical and you can get an adapter if you really need to plug it to USB. This has a lot of features and great sound quality for the price.

CalvaryMFersAlso if you are going for an external DAC you probably want to eliminate any EMI from the computer, the USB cable acts as an antenna.. my USB DAC gets really bad noise if the cable runs anywhere near a WiFi antenna, optical wouldn't have this problem.. also having a proper power supply is better than relying on the computer to supply power over USB Probably why they offer a separate unit for USB, people with optical can use this one and people without (laptops) can use the USB one

Maha-ahahttps://www.massdrop.com/buy/fire-s-audio-redkey-usb-coaxial-adapter That one is pretty expensive though, but if you look on Amazon there should be a bunch of 20usd range ones. If you need USB connectivity might as well look for another dac/amp, SD-793II is great for the money but it's not the only decent one at it's price point.. especially if you need to start buying adapters.
