Oliver11yeah it does have that problem when you connect the amp with rca cables. Looks like we have no choice but to get a DAC with balanced XLR output
Oliver11No issues with mine. I connect it to a Topping E30 via RCA. Got it off Amazon around a year ago and no issues other than having it heat up once
iawindowssHaha nothing special on my part. I have it next to me with 3 different dacs connected to it via a MC 103 Pro Little Bear XLR switcher. Gustard A18MQA, SMSL SU-8V2+Schiit Eitr, and Denafrips Ares II. Cables are 3ft Mogami XLR Gold Studio. USB Oyaide Class A Type B(Orange and black one). SMSL and Gustard use a 1m and Denafrips 2m. All dacs and sp200 use the same power cable. Pangea Audio 14se mkII, 1.5m length. Don't know if this will help you at all but this is my exact setup haha
XxNurseDamn thats a really nice setup! I determined the issue to probably the extention cable I am using to get power from the outlet in the other room. I think I might have to get a electrician to come and rewire this room.
iawindowssHaha. Thanks. That could be the issue. Could try a more heavy duty extension cord to see if it helps. Also an extension cord into a UPS might be a cheaper option than the electrician if you're on a budget. Worth a shot if you have one laying around to try it :-)
Oliver11I had the Shure 1840's past 2 oclock and it's a dead silent noise floor on those. If you hear anything and using an RCA cable to the DAC then just get RCA to XLR cables and it'll fix it.
