That slanted side bugs my OCD. Why would SMSL allow such a polarizing thing.

darwinI totally agree. I would never buy it for that reason alone. It looks ridiculous. It is just as well since there are better amps anyway such as the similarly priced Linear One. The Linear One sounds better and also functions as a preamp and doesn't have the stupid and repulsive blue LED. Unbalanced inputs sound just as good with the right cables. From what I understand, the SMSL is not a truly balanced design anyway.

darwinI really do not notice, but it is 'stacked' under my Desk, on top of the SMSL SU-9, which is sitting on my JBL sub. With the 1:3 Balanced XLR switch sitting to the side,
