A Turnkey, No-Nonsense DAC

The SMSL SU-8s is an excellent audiophile DAC—providing incredible audio performance without all the extras that muddy the experience. In essence, the goal is to provide listeners with SMSL’s industry-leading audio performance without the spec sheet diving and research time usually required. The onboard ESS ES9068AS chip pairs with a 16-core XMOS processor to provide high-resolution decoding of all of your lossless audio files—sampling up to 32 bits at 768 kilohertz. There’s MQA support baked in to provide studio-grade response on your files, plus really clean, high headroom through the outputs (via RCA or XLR). You also have your choice of inputs, from USB, optical, and coaxial to high-performance Bluetooth with aptX and aptX HD codecs supported. It all comes in a classic CNC aluminum alloy shell for durability with a streamlined aesthetic, and there’s a full-featured remote for easier control.
