Product Description
A simple way to keep your favorite beverage close at hand, this Snow Peak curved flask is small enough to take backpacking and durable enough for everyday use. It’s made from titanium, which is tasteless, odorless, nontoxic, naturally hypoallergenic, and resistant to corrosion, so you don’t have to worry about it altering the flavor of your drink Read More
Almost bought this but then saw the comments about stainless steel cap. Kind of defeats the purpose for a lot of people. I'm out sadly.
Also, I feel like at the very least it's misleading to describe as "Material: Titanium" and tout the flavorless/not affecting taste quality if the cap/lid for the product is stainless steel.
(Of course, correcting that on drop page would probably reduce sales...)
Nick0the cap has a rubber/oring seating at the end, so the liquor inside should never touch the stainless steel.
I have stored stuff in it for up to two days and it tasted fine, never really tried it for long term storage. though.
BTW... you gotta wash the inside first. There were a bit of manufacturing oil in it when i first pour something in then out of the bottle. So it's gotta be cleaned before use.
If I could find a plain titanium flask under $40, then I would buy two. Looks like everything I am going to find is going to be $80+ or it's going to be made of pure sodium and look like aids.
MurkyGobbsBuy the Vargo or Keith titanium flask. Both are phenomenal but I kinda now prefer the vargo since I can refill on the go without keith’s Included titanium funnel
I have this flask (because I like pieces with interesting design) and don’t like it. It imparts a weird taste on whatever I put in it. I’ve used it with nice whiskey while on a backpacking trip, and after a day or two, the whiskey really burns with a heavy metallic taste when I drink it.
thezissouIt's because the cap is stainless steel. This is a huge pet peeve I have about this flask - the titanium construction is top notch, but it's completely let down by this small steel cap that imparts an awful taste. What a waste! I wish snowpeak (or anyone really) would make a titanium cap for this flask, I'd definitely buy a cap like that for like, 20$
Wow, saw flasks at gift shops on my vacation and I though $30.00 at the Grand Canyon was to much. Yes, it’s titanium but I just picked up 2 titanium bowls for $29. And they are much bigger.
$115!?! Why does anyone need a flask made of titanium? Doesn't stand to fill it? For that price itshould come with a third hand to hold it. Like they say, a fool and his money are soon parted.
I have one, it really is a beautiful piece! The nice thing about flasks though is the used market is flooded with them, people get them as gifts and never use them, sell them for a pittance....mine was $30 from OfferUp.
The Nalgene flask can be stripped down to 1.9 oz, holds twice as much, and is a tenth of the cost. It stands on it's own, and has a wide mouth for easy filling. It also comes with a shot glass cap and an insulation sleeve for a total of 4 oz.
This looks nice, but lol
Fantastic flask, received one for my birthday and it’s almost a piece of art... Beautifully made, almost worryingly light, and does not impart any metallic flavors. It’s a bitch to fill, but most flasks are. As for the cap it’s replacable.
Amazed to see it here as it is usually sold out on the Snow Peak website.
I picked up one of these last year, have only used it on two trips, but still love it and don't regret the purchase. If you're looking for genuinely beautiful design in titanium, this is a great price. But there are excellent flasks out there for a heck of a lot less money, so this is definitely a niche product for people willing to pay top dollar for compelling design.
