I own a Snugpak underquilt, and like it quite a bit for what it is. It's kind of like the underquilt equivalent of the old-fashioned rectangular sleeping bag... It's heavy, and not super warm for its weight. However, it is inexpensive and sturdy. I sleep in a hammock in my bedroom at home, and this underquilt lives on my home hammock. I wouldn't take it backpacking -- it's too heavy and probably not warm enough if the temperature dips below 40˚ (I sleep cold). But for use at home or car camping in warmish weather, this is a great deal :)
For me, it saves daily wear and tear on my precious Hammock Gear Incubator :) My daughter has started sleeping in a hammock here at home too -- I might jump in on this deal and save it for Christmas... :)
