I gotta say something about this. I got in on the last drop on this. The lead photo is, unfortunately, NOT the Snugpak. It is a DD Hammocks underquilt. I thought snugpak updated they're design & I was so stoked. But when it arrived it was the same as my older one. The closed end with shock cord running through the channel is a better design that keeps more warmth in. The Snugpak still has 4 loop tabs sewn on for hanging. Don't get me wrong...I love my snugpak. BUT I was disappointed when I did NOT get the pictured quilt. MAYBE....we could get a drop going for the DD hammock quilts.

rudedoggg27Have you confirmed that the picture isn't of an "updated" version of the snugpak? I'm only asking 'cause I've got a snugpak underblanket and was looking to replace it if it did actually have the cinch ends.

JColumboYes. Unfortunately I am sure. If you look closely at the blow up of the lead picture on the side, you can see some white writing. Although you can not make out what it says, DD hammocks puts their logo in white...Snugpack puts theirs in Black. Also, you can google DD Hammocks & see the exact picture on their website. I hope someone at massdrop can see this comment & maybe change the picture out.

rudedoggg27Confirmed. If you look at the DD Hammocks website you find the same images. http://www.ddhammocks.com/product/dd-underblanket?from_cat=30
This is a deal breaker for me.
JColumboI used to use one of these and switched to Hammock Gear... their Phoenix econ line would only be 102 for the 40 degree and 112 for the 30 degree (I feel the snugpak falls between these in rating). It's a 3/4 quilt but I've had zero issues down into the 40's without using additional pad under my feet. I have a 0 degree full length I use sub 40 degrees. It's significantly lighter, easier to adjust, more packable and as warm or warmer than the Snugpak

ElectronicVicesThanks ElectronicVices, I've had my eye on the econ line at Hammock Gear since they announced them. My problem is I've got a family of four that needs underquilts and I don't have that sort of money to spend just yet.

JColumboLet me be clear...I love my snugpak underquilts for starting out & cooler summer or warmer fall nights. It's one of the best options for cheap. I would love to see if we could get a drop for the Hammock Gear Econo Quilts.
rudedoggg27Really like mine as well, keep it around for friends/cohorts that want to try hammock hanging in cooler weather. I've got three different pieces from Hammock Gear (some Econ, some not) as well as a TQ from Underground Quilts. I find the Econ line from HG to be the best value but you can get some good Black Friday deals at UGQ. I've taken the Snugpack down to 17 degrees with the addition of my Klymit Insulated Lite pad.

ElectronicVicesCool. I Think I'm going to pull the trigger on the econo top quilt next month. I do have a hammock gear full length 20 degree under quilt. It's too warm for these warmer nights. Looking forward to the cooler weather.
