GriffinDethA quick search and you'll find these for $32+/- with free shipping. I don't understand this Massdrop thing. I thought it was designed to help save money.
Norsefalconeryeah, it's very disappointing and confusing. If you can't beat amazon's prices, then why even be in business? This model really should be creating discounts, otherwise, what's the point?
NorsefalconerI'm going to guess that there are a lot of "hipster" type clients on this site. The products, site, integration, interaction... this all appeals to people who want to feel good about their purchases and involvement, both on- and off-line.
This place feels more about appearances than application. I'm guessing that you and I are more about function (and that involves cost). There's nothing "glamorous" about buying the exact same item from a place like Amazon for less money.
I consistently am confused about the massdrop model, but it appears to be working, so good for them! Someone's gotta fleece the sheep. Better MD than amazon... (tho I think MD is about to be acquired by amazon, like Woot! was, as an outlet store)
LordOpieEvery so often, MD has prices much better than Amazon. I bought a Sierra Designs sleeping bag from MD, all in cost was $120, on Amazon it was $30 more.
LordOpieNot an employee and not an apologist rather a realist. MD's prices all-in are usually just a couple of dollars cheaper. What I get here principally is discovery of products I am not familiar with (and, as stated, occasionally better prices).
KWHa10i have found in my limited time here that the prices are not usually cheaper, especially when you consider the time to deliver. Also, if things like the snugpak is a discovery to you, then don't go outdoors.
I haven't visited MD in months, so I'll make sure to turn off notifications because I no longer care...
LordOpieI'm actually camped on the beach in southern Thailand RIGHT now, I probably spend much more time outdoors then you, A-hat. Good to hear you'll turn off notifications, no one needs your snide remarks.
