Taking its name from the Greek word for “shield,” the SOG Aegis is a sturdy folder with an assisted opening mechanism for swift deployment. With a 3.5-inch, satin-finished blade made from AUS8 stainless steel, the Aegis is easy to sharpen and durable enough to stand up to tough tasks. A unique, piston lock mechanism holds the blade firmly in place once deployed. Its handle is made from glass-reinforced nylon and features ribbing and a textured pattern for secure grip. It also comes with jimping on the back of the blade for added control and a reversible pocket clip for right-and left-handed users.
