The Solo Stove Ranger isn’t your average firepit: it starts up faster, burns more efficiently, and provides a more pleasant, smoke-free experience. Meticulously engineered from 304 stainless steel, its minimalist design works well in any backyard or car-camping site—and because the bottom doesn't get as hot as a traditional fire pit, it's less likely to scorch the ground beneath it. The Ranger burns most firewood (dry hardwoods like birch, maple, hickory, and oak are recommended) and the hyper-efficient airflow system makes for a cleaner, longer, and more complete burn with minimal waste. While the Ranger isn’t primarily meant for cooking, it works well for roasting marshmallows or cooking hot dogs on a stick.
Note: At checkout, you can add a firepit tool set (+ $39).
The Ranger is designed with a double wall to maximize the airflow of the burning process. The bottom holes allow oxygen to feed the fire from below while simultaneously channeling warm oxygen up between the walls of the stove. This burst of preheated oxygen feeding back into the fire through the top holes causes a secondary combustion that results in a cleaner and more complete burn. Formed from a single piece of 304 stainless steel, the fire ring is specifically designed to keep the fire centered and even. It sits securely on the top, and when turned upside down, nests inside for simple storage.
