My bottle actually just broke! The base of the inner glass completely shattered while walking home with it in my backpack. I didn't set it down hard so I'm not sure if it was just the constant walking with it or what, but it was quite alarming to see and I'm glad I was paying attention when I went to drink from it. I've contacted Soma about it today so I'll update my review based on their response.
I've been using this for almost a year now, and it's still working well. I'll echo what davidly said, the strainer works great, the insulation is just okay. I normally finish my tea before it's too cold to drink, unless I get distracted, so it hasn't come back to bite me too often.
I also take the strainer out after I'm done steeping, so I don't run into any of the drinking issues with it in.
Any luck with Soma customer service? I've been trying to resolve an issue with them for several months to no avail.
Thanks for the reminder! It took 2 weeks but they sent a replacement bottle free. So FWIW I didn't have any issues with their customer service.
I'm working on 12 weeks right now with no success. Glad you had some.
mine just shattered completely, spraying glass all over my counter into my food, etc. I'm not going to recommend this device anymore after that...
